This conditioning takes place in the brain's reward center, where pleasure and desire are processed. Over time, our brains become wired to seek out these visual cues and the pleasurable sensations that come with them. We are no longer eating because we are hungry, but because we have been conditioned to respond to these cues.
Breaking free from this cycle requires awareness and mindfulness. By recognizing the power of visual cues and how they influence our eating habits, we can begin to make more conscious choices about what we eat and when. It's about taking back control and retraining our brains to respond to hunger cues, rather than visual ones.
