Those with extensive social capital are often able to leverage these connections to gain advantages in various aspects of life, further solidifying their position within the social hierarchy. Furthermore, symbolic capital is crucial in determining social status. This form of capital relates to the prestige and recognition that an individual receives from others within society. Those with high levels of symbolic capital are often admired and respected, further elevating their social standing.- It becomes clear that economic capital is not the sole determinant of social status.
